Üstay has proudly launched a new social responsibility initiative aimed at empowering young generations with early exposure to engineering skills. This initiative led to the establishment of a LEGO classroom at Ayaskent İrfan Kırdar Secondary School in Bergama, Izmir—a school recognized for its achievements in the World Robotics Olympics. The new classroom enriches the school’s resources, providing students with a creative, hands-on learning environment.

The LEGO classroom was filled with carefully sorted, cleaned, and categorized second-hand LEGO pieces, generously donated by volunteers that Üstay reached out to. These resources will allow students to explore their creativity and develop essential engineering skills.

Additionally, Üstay donated LEGO Education SPIKE Prime sets, which enable students to learn coding and problem-solving through building projects. To further support this initiative, Mert Balın, founder of the Happy Learners Center and LEGO Education Academy, provided specialized training to the school’s teachers.

The SPYKE Prime sets, equipped with programmable hubs, sensors, and motors, were enthusiastically embraced by the school’s robotics team, which proudly represents Turkey in various robotics competitions. The classroom’s inauguration, led by District National Education Director Mr. Ekrem Ulus, marked the transformation of the space into a functional learning center, complete with a donated container classroom and heaters from a generous Bergama local.

Üstay team members Cevat Kılıç and Yasemin Üstay proudly accepted an award on behalf of the company for this impactful contribution. With the guidance of the District Director of National Education, our LEGO classroom is now open not only to Ayaskent students but also to all nearby schools, fostering a community of potential engineers for years to come.
